MuVie is transforming music education for the visually impaired through technology, creating accessible digital tools, cutting-edge methodologies, and a Braille music library
Introducing
We are witnessing a transformation in music education for the visually impaired, driven by technological advancements that provide innovative solutions to longstanding challenges. MuVie aims to contribute to this shift by developing accessible digital tools, implementing cutting-edge methodologies, and creating an online repository of accessible digital Braille scores. The project’s goal is to enhance the music learning experience for visually impaired students.
The project is structured into three phases:
In collaboration with our partners, we aim to establish an online Braille music library containing 5,000 pages of scores, develop teacher training programs for integrating digital music tools, improve pedagogical practices in music education, and conduct dissemination events to raise awareness. We anticipate that the project will result in improved access to Braille music education, easier voice-guided navigation of digital scores, and a broader enrichment of music notation and accessibility.
