On Tuesday, 31 March 2026, the European University of Cyprus hosted a dissemination event for the MuVIe project during a musicianship class for Bachelor's level music students. In September 2025, the same university hosted the 18th AAATE Conference, at which MuVIe partners gave oral presentations. Given the European University's commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the Music Department faculty embraced the proposal for the MuVIe presentation to music students right away.
The event was led by Chariklia Strouthou, musician and expert in Braille music, and Christiana Koutsoupidou, music therapist, who represent the St. Barnabas school in the MuVIe consortium. A total of 8 music students and their professor attended.
As part of the session, the following were presented:
- The MuVΙe – Music for the Visually Impaired program, its objectives, and its progress to date.
- The digital tools developed for reading, writing, and studying Braille Music: the Braille Music Editor (BME2025) software, as well as its simplified version, the Braille Music Reader (BMR2025), for opening and listening to music files and managing scores for study purposes.
- The MuVΙe Library, the project's accessible digital library of music scores (BMML, MusicXML, MIDI), suitable for both blind and sighted musicians.
- Practical applications of these tools in teaching and inclusive music education.
Participant feedback at the conclusion highlighted that the presentation delivered valuable insights and practical resources for both students and the professor, who may, in the future, engage in teaching or collaborating with students and musicians with visual impairments.
