Earlier this month, the MuVie consortium gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus, for a full-day project meeting hosted by the Saint Barnabas School for the Blind. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for partners to assess progress, align on upcoming goals, and deepen collaboration across work packages.
The agenda focused on key technical and strategic areas of the project:
- AI-based tools for Braille music processing
- Development of the digital Braille music library
- Training methodologies and materials for music educators
- Ongoing project management and communication activities
Participants also enjoyed a guided tour of the school’s facilities, offering insight into the local context and approaches to visual impairment education.
In the afternoon, the group explored the Museum of the History of Cypriot Coinage and the Archaeological Museum of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, followed by a walking tour of Nicosia’s historic centre.
